Top quality fabric is used to make Jobman Workwear, giving less than 1% shrinkage, even when washed at 85°C – guaranteed! Combinations of fabric composition and a heat and pressure process of Sanforisation® are used to help achieve these enviable results. The hotter you wash the more dirt and grease you get out and the longer the garment will last.



Using 10KG Breaking strain threads 

The strongest possible seams are used on the common stress areas of the outside leg and crutch seams. The ‘Fell seam’, commonly found in jeans, consists of four layers of material stitched together with robust double needle stitching and is incredibly stronger than the standard overlocked or even the folded overlocked seams found in most workwear. It’s guaranteed!


Bar Tacks – high frequency reinforcement

Reinforcing ‘bar tacks are used at all major stress points, such as the pockets and belt loops. All stitching is done with 10kg breaking strain ‘core-spun’ polyester threads – many times stronger than used in most workwear.



Make Broken Zips a thing of the past!

We only use Japanese YKK metal zips, world renowned for their quality and have a life-time warranty. If a zip breaks in normal use, bring the garment back – it’s covered by our three-point guarantee!








Conditions of Guarantee  Garments indicated in this brochure are covered by a 12 month guarantee from the date of purchase that extends to defects  occurring as a result of faulty manufacture or materials. This guarantee specifically excludes garments which have been subject to abuse, deliberate damage, failure to follow specified care and washing instructions or fair wear and tear. Any modifications made to the garment will invalidate this guarantee. This guarantee is limited to the repair or replacement of the garment and excludes consequential loss or damages. In the unlikely event of you wanting to claim under this guarantee you will need to launder the garment and return to the company from which you purchased it with proof of purchase.

Fasteners – only the best are good enough

Metal jeans buttons are used giving superior durability and comfort than the standard hook and clasp found in most workwear. The button turns on its axle preventing stress fractures and broken buttons.


Colourfast – to maximise consistent image

The fabrics we use offer superb colour-fastness. Many Jobman Workwear fabrics are twice dyed; first we use a wet dying process and then a second, reactive dye is used to ensure unsurpassed colourfastness.


Abrasion resistance – to exceed expectation

Martindale tests are conducted on all fabrics used to provide abrasion resistance. This test consists of a constant load (12kPa) being exerted in a random orbit on to the test fabric until two threads break. We use this test to prove that the super-abrasion-resistant fabrics we use to reinforce areas of our garments are as good as they can possibly be.


Kneepad pockets designed to last

Jobman kneepad pockets last and last. Many of Jobman Workwear trades trousers feature not only super-abrasion resistant fabrics but also our special, friction-reducing, dual-layer technology which significantly increases the life of our trousers, even in the toughest environments.
