Jobman Workwear has developed two new fabrics that will forever change the way tradespeople expect workwear to feel and perform.

Jobman STAR is an Ultra-Tough, high-tech material that has massively high abrasion-resistance, tear-strength & durability but is also light, brushed inside for soft, comfort and is quick drying.

An amazing feature of the material is how water just runs off whilst still being breathable.

The fabric is used in our new top-of-the-range 2822/2821 trousers, with or without holster pockets.

The trousers are super-comfortable, with a new optimised anatomical fit, Loads of pockets. A new kneepocket unit which allows you to adjust the position of kneepockets for your optimum comfort.

Jobman FastDry is a high-tech material that is lightweight, super-soft, comfortable and quick drying, but also has high abrasion resistance, tear-strength & durability. An amazing feature of the material is how water just runs off whilst still being breathable.

The video below shows one of the most remarkable properties shown in BOTH new materials. Whilst the fabrics are breathable, they are both water-repellant to a remarkable extent.

Cold water just runs off, but a significant risk; scalding, is also preventable now with Jobman Workwear. The video below shows the effect of boiling water spilt onto the most common type of materials found in workwear, polyester cotton. You will make your minds up, but to help with some data, we've provided some physical test results below.

* Abrasion test - Martindale abrasion tests are performed under standard conditions. The pressure and material applied to the test fabric may be varied to regulate the time taken to perform the test. Due to the extreme hardwearing nature of Jobman Workwear fabrics, the test conducted on our new fabrics is done with glass paper to increase the abrasion and hence reduce the time taken in testing. This is far more rigourous than the standard felt pad test, where all garments will exceed the normal high-end limit of 250,000 rubs.
